Seth, thanks for the heads up on your experience at Earl’s. That’s definitely frustrating. I’ll update the listing for others to be super careful when ordering.

My wife ordered vegan and got the real cheese. At the Pru location, they apologized and offered to make her a new dish – if I remember correctly.

At the Assembly Row location, the waitress went back to the kitchen to check after my wife questioned how real the cheese looked and how realistic it tasted. The waitress, who did not seem that knowledgeable herself, went to ask and they insisted it was vegan. Turns out, it wasn’t.

It’s great that they have vegan options, but terrible that they don’t seem to train their staff or get their orders right.

Imagine if you had an allergy and you weren’t vegan by choice?

As a celiac vegetarian, I’m always overly cautious.

Came down here to make this exact recommendation – can’t recommend Across the Border highly enough. Seating is limited but _sheesh_ are their vegan burritos incredible!!
